Privacy policy

Stickmouse is a Mac app that runs entirely on your computer. It collects no analytics, no telemetry and no personal data. This page lists every time it connects to the internet.
License checks
When you activate, validate or deactivate a license, Stickmouse sends your license key and your Mac's computer name to the license API of Polar, the store that sells Stickmouse. The computer name lets you tell your Macs apart when you manage activations. Validation happens about once a week. Nothing else is sent.
Update checks
Once a day, Stickmouse downloads https://stickmouse.app/version.json to see whether a newer version is available. The request contains no license key, computer name or other identifier.
Everything else
Your controller input, button settings and preferences stay on your Mac. Stickmouse uses Accessibility access only to move the pointer, click and press keys.
This website
stickmouse.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no trackers. It is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.
Payments
Purchases are handled by Polar, the merchant of record, which processes your name, email address and payment details. See Polar's privacy policy. I receive your email address and order details from Polar to deliver your license key and help with support and refunds.
